Cummins ISB CM850 (2003-06) Fault Code: 499 PID: 98 SPN: 98 FMI: 4 Engine Oil Level Sensor Circuit – Voltage Below Normal or Shorted to Low Source. The engine oil level sensor has detected an internal failure.
Possible causes:
1)Open or short circuit internally to the oil level sensor 2)A failed oil level sensor 3)An open circuit in the oil level sensor circuit.
Possible repairs:
1)Replace the oil level sensor. 2)Replace the engine harness. 3)Replace the ECM. 4)The removal and installation of the connector may correct the fault.
